My whole vote would hinge on what rate he was, and the type of ship served on. (Boats and plains may be acceptable, but just please don't tell me that he was in the Seabees.)

LOL....I was a was on an LST 1188 USS Saginaw,a troop carrier.I was a rated Diesel Mech.(engine man/black shoe/snipe).Also a Aviation Fuels and Lubricants Specialist. During Battle stations I was part of the NBC warefare team,Nuc/Bio/Chemical warefare.and was proficient with an M14 and got to play with the Ma Duce(Twin .50 cal machine guns)

I also participated in the Cuban Boat lift in 1980 just befor I was discharged, honorably discharged.

And not the least I was a master of RR and II.

I wonder if Swamy has done any "snipe" hunting????   That could be fun....

I agree with you Shakes....    it's bad enough having to have a Pogo keeper....    we don't need no "bee" keepers.
