Hello Clowns ,

I hope you all had a great Holiday.

First I want to thank all the players that got involved in our gun
rule question.

It became pretty heated at times. Check out some of the boards

http://forum.specialopspaintball.com/index.php?showtopic=162509

Lots of great ideas were suggested. Some old and some new.

Our goal in building this league was to make it a player’s league, one that the players

felt they had a hand in building.

We wanted to take the best of the other leagues and combine then into ours. SPPL, TacTen,

(NPPL “R.I.P.”)

The biggest sticking point turned out to be the gun rule.

So we have narrowed it down to two things we are interested in trying at the next event on

Feb. 15th.

We want your team to discuss it among yourselves, and come up with your teams answer.

Please e-mail the answer to me, info@woodsballtournament.com

Then we will look at all the other team’s answers and come up with a majority ruling.

Again nothing is in stone. We will try the majority ruling at our next event, if it turns

out to be successful we will keep it in.

What are the two items?

1. SPPL approved hopper and marker, shooting at, but not above 15 bps.
With random checks during the day, and players being disqualified for cheating.
“ See SPPL rule below”

2. Player can only carry two pods of paint rounds per game.
If player runs out of paint, they cannot leave the field and are still considered a target.

What we are going for is skill vs shooting ropes of paint.

Fairness, sportsmanship and the players overall satisfaction, was our main concern when

starting the W.T.L.

With your help and guidance we know this will be a true player’s league.

Thank you again for all your help and support.

cant wait for feb to come.

i think this will not work.just me talking

2. Player can only carry two pods of paint rounds per game.

what if its field paint only you got to keep the field happy.more revenue means more tournaments.

in my view do not have equipment restrictions just rules.

we like using our equipment we bought.

if some one complains because they think another gun is better and it should not  be allowed.that shouldnt be an issue. they bought there gun, they should use it.

rules for saftey not restrictions.

Thanks Payaso,

This is a BYOB Event.

You are not the only one with these concerns. Because of Helpful players like you, we are putting together all the ideas and making our last edits to the rules.

We will be posting them soon.

Thanks again for all your help with this matter.

Just keep it simple

1. Allow any marker into the game.
2. Semi-mode only
3. Electros require a 15 bps or less feedrate (A5's X7's w/ EGrip allowed to run stock hopper)
4. I like the idea of limiting paint.....3-4 pod max and a hopper.
5. Have a 5 minute, 3 minute, 1 minute and 30 second announcement.
6. Try not to have back to back games except in play off type format!

Greetings from the WTL,

We are getting very close to February 15th, 21 days to be exact. The news just keeps on getting better and better.

It seems everyday sponsors are asking to get involved with the WTL.

Plus the players that have decided to volunteer instead of play has been a great help to us, and we thank them all.

As we have stated before, no good deed goes un-rewarded, all players that volunteer will get a free pass for the next event.

If you know any company, organization or person that would like to set up a booth at the event,
let them know it’s free, all they have to do is add something to the raffle prizes.

This is a great opportunity for them to expose their product or services.
Oh, did we mention it’s free!

We will have a DJ spinning your favorite tunes.

We will be doing a team introduction after the Captains meeting.

Your team will gather under the WTL welcome sign, and we will play yours teams song while introducing you.

It’s very exciting and adds to a sense of team cohesion and solidity.

If you don’t have a song don’t worry we will have a DJ there with tons.

Here are a list of things we need from you before Wednesday February 4th

·        Team BIO and picture.

·        Teams song,  we will only use around 1 minute of it.

·        List of team members that will play in our event, and captains name.

·        Area your team is from.

·        Any special needs anyone on your team requires

We have decided on the limited paint rule for this event.

Two 140 count pods per player only.

Regular players can share paint.

Heavy gunner cannot share paint

Heavy gunner can carry as much paint as they want.

No gun restrictions.  (see rules for full details)

·        All hopper  bps Welcome

·        All gun modes: Pump, Simi-Auto, and Full auto Welcome

·        Side arms: Pistol, Sling shots Welcome.

Last rule we need your team to decide on.

Do gun hits count?

Or should it just be body hits.

The secondary weapon idea that was proposed, it stated: If your primary weapon was hit, you can use a secondary weapon such as a side arm or sling shot, We milled it over and decided, it would make things more realistic, but it also might make things more confusing, so no on that this time around.

We want to thank all the forums for their passion on the gun rule issue.

I believe this is just proving our point, that Woodsball / Mil-Sim / Scenario players
are a tight group of concerned players that want to have a safe and fair playing environment.

If this attitude leaks out to the rest of the world, maybe big paintball sponsors will come
knocking on our doors and want to get involved in your teams future.

We will keep you informed to anything newsworthy as we get it.

Captains please forward this to all your players.

Thank you again for choosing to play in the WTL.

We are looking forward to seeing your team in action.

Check out the updates below.
